Alpha Zeta Chi was founded in 2004 by Abby Brannam on the campus of Texas A&M University. AZX is a women's organization that values all things service, sisterhood, and social. The purpose of Alpha Zeta Chi is to unite women of Texas A&M in the bond of sisterhood, regardless of their background. Alpha Zeta Chi creates a close knit group of true, lasting friends that will have a wonderful impact during your time at Texas A&M.
Our women's organization is involved in many service events so that we may give back to the Bryan/College Station community. AZX also hosts social events so that our members have a chance to get to know one another and create memories with their sisters. These socials include formal, semi-formal, bid day, mixers with other organizations and other fun events. For more information about our service events, please visit the "Our Philanthropies" tab.
The official colors of AZX are royal purple and sky blue. The royal purple represents a noble and imperial passion in which each person obtains no matter their background or place of locale. The sky blue represents our motto, "Individually Unique, Together Complete” which means that all people are special and unique and recognized as so because of their differences yet; we form a friendship that will last forever.
The official flower of AZX is the gerber daisy. The gerber daisy represents the beauty and cheerfulness in each of our members. We have chosen the butterfly as our mascot. Butterflies are gentle, graceful, loyal, powerful, and trusting. They represent the respect, hope, and joy we have towards all of our fellow Alpha Zeta Chi sisters.
